I care about identity and meeting people where they’re at - using my privilege to provide for the communities I’m part of.

Maybe that’s kind of why I enjoy email and SMS, because they’re a little similar. Learning about people and their needs, figuring out how I can meet those needs and provide before they even have to ask.

I apply this approach to my daily interactions which has turned into me being a co-lead for Trailtinos, a latine/hispanic-centered trail running group based in Denver, CO. Expanding my desire beyond representation in sport to also include providing additional opportunities for outdoor involvement has become one of my big ‘why’s’ and motivation to continue competing at a high level in trail running.
